Free support resources for patients, right in the app
Most fertility patients don't know RESOLVE exists, or that its financial support, support groups, and advocacy resources are free to them.
- A Community Support page in the patient app. Reached from a new Community menu item.
- Direct links to RESOLVE's offerings. Financial support, support groups, and ways to volunteer or donate.
Introducing EngagedMD Messaging
Clinical teams write the same message dozens of times a day — medication instructions, appointment confirmations, lab follow-ups — and send it twice when a patient has a partner. There's been no way to save the wording, no way to put both patients on one thread, and no way to tell whether anyone has read what you sent.
- Clinic-wide templates keep your team on the same page. Admins build a shared library of approved wording, organized by category, so anyone on staff can pull in language that's already been vetted.
- Staff can save their own templates, too. Anyone composing messages can create personal templates for the replies they send often, tag them to a category so they surface at the right moment, and keep them visible only to themselves.
- Partners on the same thread. Patients choose at first login whether their partner is included by default; your clinic sets a default for patients who haven't chosen. Staff can adjust recipients on any thread.
- See whether the patient has read it. A read indicator on each inbox row shows which recipients have read, and a "read up to here" marker sits in the thread. Patients don't see read state.
- Drafts, for staff and patients. Closing the composer keeps what was typed. Unsent messages, replies, and internal notes save as drafts, private to the person writing them.
- Messages route themselves by category. Each message category has a default assignee and watchers, so an inbound message lands with the right team without manual triage — and re-routes if the category changes.
Major updates to make Questionnaires work harder for you
The newest version of questionnaires can handle any patient data collection task you throw at it. Patient onboarding, intake, medical history, satisfaction surveys, clinical trial recruitment and much more are now a breeze!
- Drag-and-drop form builder. Build and edit questionnaires directly in the staff app, with pagination to group related questions together.
- A full range of question types. Short text, paragraphs, numeric entry and sliders, dates and date ranges, true/false and checkboxes, single- and multi-select dropdowns, checklists, and signature.
- Conditional logic. Questionnaires can skip ahead or end early based on how a patient answers, instead of asking every patient every question.
- Aggregated results view. See responses across every patient who's completed a questionnaire in one place, with charts for completion over time and for individual questions.
- Preview before you send. See exactly how a questionnaire will look to a patient, on both the patient app and desktop, before it goes out.
Connect more than one system to EngagedMD
Many clinics run more than one system that should talk to EngagedMD — an EMR plus a CRM, a donor database, a second EMR after a merger — and each has its own patient ID. EngagedMD could only key off one, so a second integration had nowhere to attach.
- A patient can carry IDs from several systems. A patient created from your CRM or PMS is recognized when the EMR record arrives later, instead of becoming a duplicate.
- Every ID shows where it came from. Patient creation includes an ID-type dropdown, and an icon on the record opens the full list of a patient's system IDs.
- One system stays primary. Your organization ranks its systems, and only the primary updates demographics, so two integrations never overwrite each other.
Let a patient's own inputs trigger their next step
Right now, moving a patient to their next step means someone on your team catching it and doing it by hand. A questionnaire comes back, a person has to notice, decide what happens next, and manually assign the task or questionnaire that goes with it.
- Questionnaire answers can kick off what happens next. Automation engine rules check individual questions or combinations of answers, so a patient's responses about their health, treatment interest, or demographics trigger the right downstream task instead of waiting for someone to read the results and manually assign -- no coding required.
One daily reminder instead of an email for every form
Staff get a separate email for every form, and patients whose tasks are assigned overnight get notified at odd hours. Both make EngagedMD feel noisier than it should.
- A single digest, by email or text. One message the next business day saying you have tasks waiting, with a link to your checklist — sent at a time your clinic chooses.
- Due-date reminders that arrive on Mondays. Patients and staff each get a nudge on the two Mondays before a task is due.
Patients can sign with just a phone number
Some of your patients don't have an email address, and e-signature has always required one. Those patients couldn't sign forms through EngagedMD at all.
- Forms go out over SMS. Patients with only a phone number on file receive and sign forms by text, the same forms everyone else signs.
- Nothing changes for staff. Assign the form the same way; EngagedMD picks the channel the patient has.
Turn a Veradigm referral into assigned education, automatically
Referral data in Veradigm already shows what a patient needs to be educated about — order status, diagnosis — but nothing connects that data to what gets sent to the patient. Today that means staff manually deciding what to assign, or patients not getting the right content at all, which shows up as unnecessary paper packet mailings and patients dropping off before they ever schedule.
- Referral data flows straight into the assignment engine. Order status and diagnosis information pulled from Veradigm feeds directly into Navigate's automation engine.
- The right content gets assigned automatically. Based on what's in the referral, patients receive the education they need without staff reviewing each case and deciding what to send.
- Built for high-referral-volume practices. Aimed at practices — starting in urology — where getting patients educated and scheduled quickly, right after referral, matters most.
Sign your queue from your phone
Staff could sign one form on their phone, then land on a My Tasks screen that didn't work on mobile — so finishing the rest of the queue meant going back to a desktop.
- A mobile view of My Tasks. See what's waiting for your signature, open it, and sign — then move to the next one.
- Switch to the full app when you need it. A toggle at the bottom of the screen moves between mobile view and the full application.
Know when a patient struggled through a module
Patients must answer every knowledge-check question correctly before a module completes, but a patient who needed many attempts may not have understood the material — and your team has had no way to know.
- Set your own threshold. Decide what counts as a low knowledge-check score for your clinic.
- Flagged completions reach your team. A module completed below the threshold is flagged in EngagedMD and can be sent to your EMR, so a clinician can follow up before consent.
Let patients upload documents as part of a task
Patients periodically need to send documents to their clinic — insurance cards, ID, proof of completion — and today that happens over messages or outside the platform, where files are hard to find, validate, and get into the EMR.
- Require or allow an upload on any action. Template, ad-hoc, or customized actions can ask for a file, and the action can't complete without it when you say so.
- Patients upload from the patient app. Controls block unsafe files.
- Staff are notified and can find the file. Open or export it from the staff app, and send it to the EMR automatically.
- One place for a patient's files. A Patient Files view keeps every upload together.
Start every reply from a draft, not a blank box
Every message reply today starts from a blank box — triage and response are entirely manual, and staff end up retyping the same kinds of answers again and again. That's a hard ceiling on how much volume a team can handle, and getting messaging to the level it needs to be means staff producing far more responses than manual typing alone can support.
- An AI Draft button sits right in the message composer. Staff click it to get a suggested response to a patient's message, so they start from a draft instead of a blank page — then edit and send it themselves, same as any other message.
- Admins set the guardrails. A dedicated preferences area lets admins configure how AI drafting behaves for their clinic, rather than it working the same way everywhere.
Let eIVF appointments trigger assignments
Clinics on eIVF have appointment data in their EMR that Navigate can't yet act on, so appointment-driven assignments still depend on someone entering them by hand.
- Appointments flow into Navigate as a trigger. Scheduled appointments in eIVF become something the automation engine can act on.
- Tasks, forms, and questionnaires assign themselves from the calendar. The same rules that run on questionnaire answers and referrals run on the schedule.
Keep patients in sync with AthenaOne and assign from the schedule
Patient records and appointment schedules already live in AthenaOne, but without a connection to Navigate, keeping the two in sync means staff manually creating and updating patient records — and appointment-driven automations have nothing to run on, since there's no appointment data reaching Navigate in the first place.
- Patients are created and kept current automatically. New patients in AthenaOne, and any updates to their demographic details, sync into Navigate on their own — no manual entry, no records falling out of date.
- Appointment data feeds the automation engine directly. Scheduled appointments in AthenaOne become a trigger the automation engine can act on, so tasks, forms, and questionnaires can be assigned automatically based on what's on the calendar.
Schedule the appointment and the consent sends itself
Forms that are tied to a scheduled appointment or a standard clinical trigger still have to be assigned by hand, every time. That's staff hours spent sending paperwork instead of working with patients.
- Appointment data can trigger a form assignment on its own. Schedule the procedure, and the matching form goes out — no one has to remember to send it.
- It starts with the patient signature and grows from there. The first release covers forms that only need the patient to sign; a following release extends the same automation to forms needing the full set of signers — doctor, staff, and patient.
- Forms can be part of a bundle that assigns itself. Group a welcome packet or a set of treatment consents together, and the whole bundle triggers as one when the appointment or event calls for it.
Store the patient details your clinic needs, and fill them from questionnaires
Information clinics need to pass into other systems — e-signature fields, regulatory forms, EMR records — has had no home in the patient profile, and what's relevant differs by clinic.
- Configure the fields that appear on the patient profile. Staff admins choose which demographic fields their portal shows, and staff can view and edit them.
- Questionnaire answers fill them in. Map a questionnaire question to a profile field, and the patient's answer lands there without re-keying.
Decide who has to finish a task before the next one unlocks
Modules, actions, and questionnaires each have settings for default participants and for which participant must finish before a blocked task unlocks. The settings behaved differently across task types and weren't clear about what they did.
- Consistent participant settings on every task type. Default participants on modules, required participants on questionnaires.
- Change the required participant at assignment time. The assignment workflow lets staff set who must complete the task for the next one to unlock.
Keep patients in sync with Epic and assign from the schedule
Patient records and appointment schedules already live in Epic, but without a connection to Navigate, staff create and update patient records by hand, and appointment-driven automations have nothing to run on.
- Patients are created and kept current automatically. New patients in Epic, and updates to their demographic details, sync into Navigate on their own.
- Appointments and orders feed the automation engine directly. Tasks, forms, and questionnaires can be assigned automatically based on what's on the calendar.
Use your clinic's own words across the patient and staff apps
Every clinic has its own terminology, and some words in the patient and staff apps don't match how your practice talks to its patients.
- Substitute specific terms for your portal. Staff admins swap a word — "Checklist," "Doctor" — for the one your clinic uses, and the change applies in both apps.
- No setup beyond the admin screen. Configure it once; it applies everywhere the word appears.
Something marked "on request" or "early access"? Your Customer Success Manager can turn it on and walk your team through it.
